In this fascinating compilation by Stephanie Peh , she talks to twenty four (24) architects, artists, designers, photographers and filmmakers in Southeast Asia who excel in their field not because of grit and drive as we keep getting told we need to have, but because of truly considered living.
The interviews are only a few pages long, but they pack a lot of punch. Each one is really a meditation on how to think about not just what we want to do, but who we want to be, especially in light of what each interviewed person has done and is doing with their life. Some are also quite funny and make you wish you could join in on the conversation. I really wish I could have been a fly on the wall during her interview with comic book artist Sonny Liew and famed photographer Francisco Guerrero.
