In our world of possessions where we want to make sure what is ours remains ours and what is not ours can never become free, we build fences to keep things and animals in.
There is no such need in a world where the bond between animals and human is heartfelt, where each seeks the other out for comfort and camaraderie. While the cows and horses stayed within sight, the goats had herded themselves far away. No one was worried. The goats liked to go wherever they wanted to go and would eventually bleat themselves back home.
It was a wonderful world to be in.
